Whilst road trips give you the flexibility to travel wherever you want to go, if can also mean that you don’t pay as much attention to accommodation options as you simply decide you’ll find something en-route. However, again because of vast distances between townships, you may not find places to stay easily once you hit the outback, so try and check ahead to find suitable locations. Whilst it may be easy to rough it in the car for a few nights it won’t be that comfortable, especially if you’re travelling with friends, so using guides and locals to find places to stay is paramount.
